Titanium coil and air spring technology deliver tuneable compression in a lightweight package. ProPedal components as well as high-speed and low-speed compression available with certain models provide a soft rebound on impact and a firm lockout for rider input. Depending on the components, prices for Fox MTB forks featuring advanced suspension systems range from £369 to £800 or more. Fox MTB forks include a number of multi-purpose models ideal for freeriding, downhill, cross country and all-mountain applications. Fox MTB forks designed for cross country application average 30 g lighter than comparable trail forks. 32 and 36mm stanchions are the most popular size options. However, Fox has also released a 40mm model designed for riders who push the limits freeriding and on downhill courses.

Fox’s simple naming conventions make it easy to differentiate features without spending too much time on the specs. For example, the popular Talas 32 is available with FIT RL or FIT RLC technology. RLC models offer complete rebound, lockout and low-speed compression adjustment whilst RL models offer adjustable rebound and lockout, but not compression. Entry level R models feature rebound adjustment only with top of the line RC2 models offering separate high and low-speed compression adjustment and tuneable rebound. Models with RLC options typically offer riders the greatest amount of control, especially on full suspension bikes where front and rear shock balance is essential. Typical travel options for Fox MTB forks is 80mm, 100mm, 120mm and 150mm with some models offering an internal adjustment feature.

Fox MTB forks with the TerraLogic system feature a 15-position damper that allows riders to fine-tune performance with one or two clicks. TerraLogic offers a broad suspension range from near lockout to full compression. Handlebar actuated lockout, bump threshold adjusters, and lockout force adjusters are easily accessible for on the fly tuning.
